This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the middleweight division. Introducing today's competitors. And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 15 wins and 19 losses; Toby Flenderson! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Reed Andrews and Anthony Taglia.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Flenderson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Finn takes the fight into the clinch. Finn is pressed up against the cage. Flenderson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Finn down to the mat. Finn avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. A momentary lapse in concentration from Flenderson enables Finn to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Finn controlling his opponent. Finn seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Flenderson for as long as he can get away with. Finn continues to stall.
