The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Lynch shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Blankenship defends it nicely.
Lynch closes the distance and clinches up with Blankenship, looking for a takedown. Lynch pushes Blankenship against the cage but Blankenship circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Jakobe Blankenship has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alec Lynch.
Lynch looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Blankenship drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Blankenship jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Lynch is looking to cinch up a triangle. Blankenship throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Lynch's body to avoid the submission. Lynch has instead reached around Blankenship's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Lynch arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
