Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Steve Bledsoe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Happy Pete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Steve Bledsoe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Happy Pete! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Bledsoe. Bledsoe misses with a two punch combination.
Bledsoe misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bledsoe will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Pete shoots for a double leg takedown but Bledsoe sprawls well. He's pushed Pete's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Bledsoe misses with a series of wild punches.
Bledsoe moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like Happy Pete has been cut. Bledsoe closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Pete struggling a bit here. Pete sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Bledsoe blocks the strikes from Pete.
Bledsoe wants to get back to his feet.
Bledsoe decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pete has his takedown stuffed and Bledsoe counters with a nice leg kick. Pete tries for a takedown but Bledsoe circles away easily and Bledsoe counters with a stiff right hand. Steve Bledsoe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Happy Pete. Bledsoe misses with a takedown and Pete counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Bledsoe is breathing heavily. Pete scoring with strikes to the body and head. Pete takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Pete scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Pete lands strikes from half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Pete connects with a nice short shot to Bledsoe's temple. Pete working Bledsoe over with strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Pete working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Pete lands strikes from half guard. Bledsoe is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Bledsoe is looking to escape. Bledsoe makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Bledsoe. Pete lands a couple of elbows. Bledsoe tries to strike from the bottom.
Pete with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Pete trying to control the position from guard on top but Bledsoe is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bledsoe wants to stand and escape but Pete is having none of it. Pete works over Bledsoe with some ground and pound from guard. Bledsoe wants to get back to his feet but Pete is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Pete with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Bledsoe rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pete moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Bledsoe tries to clinch so Pete counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Pete stops Bledsoe from standing up. Pete trying to control the position from guard on top but Bledsoe is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pete landing some decent shots from guard. Pete won't allow Bledsoe to get back to his feet. Pete connects with a couple of short punches. Pete landing some decent shots from guard. Pete has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Bledsoe is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Pete tries for a takedown but Bledsoe circles away easily and Bledsoe counters with a good low kick that Pete was not able to check. Pete closes the distance and clinches up with Bledsoe, looking for a takedown. Pete pushes Bledsoe against the cage but Bledsoe circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Bledsoe throws a sloppy head kick and Pete moves out of range easily. Bledsoe wants to clinch but Pete slips to the side and Pete counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Bledsoe! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bledsoe bucks up and throws Pete to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape! Horrible takedown by Pete or perhaps it was just good defense by Bledsoe which made him look bad. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pete fails miserably with a takedown attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Happy Pete dominated that round. The cut man is working on Happy Pete's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Bledsoe looks to clinch and Pete counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Pete. Pete prevents Bledsoe from getting back to his feet. Bledsoe keeping moving, preventing Pete from controlling successfully. Pete scoring with some ground and pound. Pete prevents Bledsoe from getting back to his feet. Pete working some strikes from top position. Pete with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Pete is working Bledsoe over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Bledsoe trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bledsoe controls Pete momentarily but Pete frees himself. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Pete lands a couple of digs.

Not particularly brutal. Bledsoe is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Pete is controlling him. Pete landing some decent shots from guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Pete feints and as Bledsoe raises his hands in defense, Pete changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Pete won't allow Bledsoe to get back to his feet. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Pete's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Bledsoe is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Pete is controlling him. Pete lands a couple of decent looking shots.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pete prevents Bledsoe from getting back to his feet. Bledsoe is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Pete makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Pete tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pete has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Pete tries to score with some ground and pound. Bledsoe controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pete cracks Bledsoe with a big right hand but Bledsoe just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Bledsoe bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Bledsoe with a lazy takedown attempt and Pete counters with a nice double leg into guard. Pete lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Pete advances position into side control! Pete wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bledsoe, who protects the arm well. Bledsoe sneaks out the side door and pushes Pete away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Bledsoe throws a right and a left that Pete avoids nicely. Pete gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Bledsoe counters with a stiff right hand.

Pete looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pete slips a nice elbow through Bledsoe's hands, connecting with Bledsoe's forehead. Bledsoe is trying to stand.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bledsoe kicks Pete off and gets back to his feet. Pete gets the takedown into side control. Pete is putting a hurting on Bledsoe here, landing some big shots from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Happy Pete showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Happy Pete's cut. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Bledsoe wants to stand up but Pete is controlling him. Pete wants to control from the top but Bledsoe keeps moving. Pete keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Bledsoe's head. Happy Pete has got the better of the ground game so far. Pete landing with the ground and pound. Pete is in close to Bledsoe's body, working some short punches and elbows. Pete chips away with some ground and pound. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Pete with a flurry of punches that miss. Bledsoe preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Bledsoe pushes Pete off and scrambles back to his feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Pete shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Pete throwing strikes but missing. Pete wants to control from the top but Bledsoe keeps moving. Bledsoe is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Bledsoe will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Pete is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Bledsoe trying to strike off his back.
Bledsoe is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Bledsoe missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pete wants to get back to full guard. Pete missing with punches from the bottom.
Bledsoe seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Bledsoe not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Pete makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Pete. Pete is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Pete wants to pass the guard but Bledsoe is defending well. Pete thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Bledsoe to regain full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Bledsoe avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Bledsoe wants to get back to his feet but Pete is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Bledsoe manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Pete manages to get himself to full guard.
Bledsoe gets to his feet - Pete follows without any prompting. Happy Pete is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Bledsoe tries a head kick but it misses.
Pete feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Bledsoe is looking to stand up but Pete isn't so interested in that idea. Steve Bledsoe has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bledsoe doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Happy Pete comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Pete winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
