The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Sosuke Kotani and Hirohito Nitta.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dahman misses with the combination.
Dahman tries to bum rush Thompson with a series of wild strikes but Thompson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Thompson was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Thompson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dahman swivels and escapes.

and Thompson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Thompson.

Thompson is working Dahman over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Thompson tries to free his leg and advance position but Dahman is retaining full guard.
Dahman is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Dahman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Thompson on the ground.

Thompson is working to tighten his grip on Dahman's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Dahman has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Thompson is really squeezing tight and eventually Dahman passes out! Thompson breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
