Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nacho El Luchador (ranked 24581 p4p, 5210 weight class) and Ding Ding Dong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nacho El Luchador!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 27 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ding Ding Dong!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, William Peck and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

El Luchador drives through with a takedown into guard.
El Luchador slips nicely into half guard.

El Luchador tries to pass the half guard into mount. Ding Dong knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Ding Dong is trying to control but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

El Luchador has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Ding Dong's face.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ding Dong tries to reverse the position but El Luchador maintains control.

El Luchador's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

El Luchador seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Ding Dong for as long as he can get away with.
El Luchador has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ding Dong is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
El Luchador takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


A momentary lapse in concentration from Ding Dong enables El Luchador to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Ding Dong manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Ding Dong has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but El Luchador has passed into side control.

El Luchador lands a big shot there that rocks Ding Dong but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

It looks like Ding Ding Dong has been cut.

Nacho El Luchador overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Ding Dong is in a horrible position here. El Luchador smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Ding Dong fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but El Luchador avoids it really well and circles away.

El Luchador changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ding Dong looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because El Luchador is stinking the place up with his stalling.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

El Luchador is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Ding Dong can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Ding Dong takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
El Luchador cracks Ding Dong with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

El Luchador is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ding Dong can do to turn this around?

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
El Luchador continues to hold on tight.

Well El Luchador has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
