PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Miroslav Viskonsin (ranked 4423 p4p, 4186 weight class) and Gwynn Kramer (ranked 0 p4p, 165 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Miroslav Viskonsin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gwynn Kramer!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Paulo Santos and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kramer stuffs the takedown.

Kramer darts in and clinches Viskonsin up against the cage.
Viskonsin is trying to push Kramer away but Kramer has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Kramer prevents a takedown attempt there.
Viskonsin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kramer walks away with a smile on his face. Viskonsin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Miroslav Viskonsin. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Viskonsin gets a takedown into half guard.
Kramer pushes Viskonsin off looking to stand but Viskonsin dives back in and keeps control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kramer is concentrating on defense, preventing Viskonsin from advancing position.
Kramer's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Viskonsin prevents Kramer from improving his position.
Kramer is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Viskonsin's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Viskonsin's back!
Kramer is trying to stick to Viskonsin's back but Viskonsin is turning into Kramer. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Kramer's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Viskonsin.
Kramer is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Viskonsin tries to kick Kramer off but Kramer keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Kramer lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Viskonsin wants to improve his position but Kramer is controlling well.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Kramer lands a nice short elbow.
Viskonsin trying to hold on to Kramer's head to control him but Kramer postures up.
Kramer is nestled in close to Viskonsin, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Kramer drops an elbow to the side of Viskonsin's head.
Kramer with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Viskonsin tries to get to full guard but Kramer has control of the leg.
Viskonsin is breathing heavily.

Kramer wants to free his trapped foot but Viskonsin is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Viskonsin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Gwynn Kramer dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Viskonsin throws a leg kick that misses.
Kramer drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Viskonsin defends it well.

Kramer has closed the distance and engaged Viskonsin in a clinch.

Kramer pulls guard successfully.
Viskonsin wants to control from the top but Kramer keeps moving.
Viskonsin is really struggling to control Kramer but he's trying to hold on to the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kramer is controlling Viskonsin's posture.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Viskonsin pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kramer is keeping the position for now.
Gwynn Kramer has got the better of the ground game so far.
Viskonsin won't allow Kramer to get back to his feet.

Viskonsin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kramer has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Viskonsin has managed to get both his arms back between Kramer's legs - danger averted.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Kramer working for a triangle but Viskonsin defends it easily.
Viskonsin working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kramer is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Kramer.
Kramer staying calm.
Viskonsin can't do much from the bottom here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Viskonsin is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Kramer is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Kramer is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Viskonsin will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kramer in side control lands a decent elbow.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Gwynn Kramer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Viskonsin's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Viskonsin takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Miroslav Viskonsin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Kramer lands with a big right hook that stumbles Viskonsin - he's out on his feet here! Kramer follows up with another monster hook that separates Viskonsin from consciousness! Viskonsin falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Kramer stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:15 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Gwynn Kramer!
