Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cole Palmer (ranked 4127 p4p, 4193 weight class) and Matt Frevola (ranked 0 p4p, 297 weight class). Palmer comes to the cage accompanied by Cold Palmer. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Chris Saunders and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frevola drives through and clinches with Palmer against the cage.
Palmer gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Frevola blocking some punches.
Frevola pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Frevola has Palmer up against the cage in a clinch.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Palmer.
Palmer lands an uppercut.
Palmer manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Frevola shoots in for a takedown but Palmer shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Palmer dives in and grabs Frevola's left leg, looking for a takedown. Frevola pushes down on Palmer's head and hops out.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Palmer clinches with his opponent.
Come on Palmer - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Frevola gets underhooks to prevent Palmer's takedown attempt.
Frevola decides to pull guard.
Frevola pulls Palmer in close to his closed guard and prevents Palmer from doing any damage or advancing position.

Frevola is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Palmer is controlling him.

Frevola closes the distance and pushes Palmer back into the cage.
Palmer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Palmer misses with a head kick.

Frevola bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Palmer bucks up and tries to throw Frevola off but instead Frevola has got his back!

Frevola controlling the position well here. Palmer rolled but Frevola kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Will Frevola go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Matt Frevola has got the better of the ground game so far.
