Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Shaun Fritz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryan Garcia!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Steven Brown and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fritz shoots in looking for a takedown. Garcia tries to sprawl out of it but Fritz keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Garcia manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Fritz throws a combination that misses
and Garcia counters with a nice uppercut.
Fritz swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Garcia counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Garcia tries to clinch up.
No luck for Fritz with that takedown attempt.
Fritz pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fritz moves into the clinch.
Garcia fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Fritz wants to break the clinch but can't.
A nice left hand lands by Garcia.
Fritz manages to break the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Garcia lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Fritz falls backwards - clearly groggy! Garcia dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ryan Garcia!
Post fight, Ryan Garcia took to the microphone: 'hey lil fritzie, you suck man. This was too easy... a waste of my time. Should've just stayed home and watched a movie'.
