Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Edmond Dantes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kirsnick Khari Ball!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Eddie Farnsworth and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dantes tries a low kick but Ball avoids it.

Dantes fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ball manages to avoid it.

Dantes has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Ball shoots for a double leg takedown but Dantes sprawls well. He's pushed Ball's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Dantes throws a sloppy head kick and Ball moves out of range easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dantes cracks Ball with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Ball drops his hands momentarily and Dantes takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Dantes stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dantes wants it to stay on the feet.
Ball swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Dantes tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ball manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Ball is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dantes's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dantes's back!

Edmond Dantes really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Nevermore Clothing Co logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
