Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Deangelo Strickland (ranked 3239 p4p, 3905 weight class) and Remington Randolph (ranked 357 p4p, 415 weight class). Randolph comes into a darkened arena with his song building. grandma got ran over by a reindeer song kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for Strickland.
Strickland scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Randolph tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Strickland counters with an outside leg kick.
Strickland lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Randolph avoids a punch combination nicely.
Strickland throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Strickland lands a nice looking body shot.
Strickland lands with a nice combination. Randolph backs away looking to recover.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Randolph's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Strickland connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Randolph scrambles back to his feet.
Strickland lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Randolph shoots in looking for a takedown but Strickland manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Randolph's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Strickland lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Randolph backs up against the ropes.
Strickland seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Strickland connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Randolph momentarily.

Randolph is rocked!
Strickland cracks Randolph with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Randolph tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Strickland pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Randolph is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Deangelo Strickland!
