Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Son looks for a takedown but Blackwater sprawls well.

Son fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Blackwater sprawls well initially but Son persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Son wants to control but Blackwater is keeping him busy.
Blackwater is trying to get back to full guard.
Son is keen to just control but Blackwater is a slippery customer.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Son seems to be working for a kimura but Blackwater defends the submission attempt.
Blackwater tries to get to full guard but Son has control of the leg.
Son tries to pass to full mount but Blackwater defends it.

Son is nestled in close to Blackwater, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Son is thwarting Blackwater's attempts to control the position.

Blackwater is trying to stand back up but Son is controlling him
Blackwater is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Son's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Son's back!

Son manages to escape to a better position under a series of strikes. Blackwater is now in side control.
Son tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Blackwater wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Blackwater really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Son. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Blackwater stops Son from getting back to his feet.
Blackwater is keen to just control but Son is a slippery customer.
Son has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Blackwater thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Son's head.
Son is trying to stand.

Son wants to get back to his feet but Blackwater is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
We've been informed that Blackwater has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Blackwater drives through and clinches with Son against the ropes.
Blackwater is trying to break the clinch but Son is controlling him.

Son is working on a single leg takedown against the ropes. Blackwater can't fight it off and eventually Son manages to take the fight to the floor. Blackwater looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Blackwater can do anything to dispel that myth.
Son postures up in Blackwater's guard and throws a big left but Blackwater blocks it.
Blackwater utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Blackwater is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Son is aware though and is defending well.

Son drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Son as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Blackwater screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Son! Nice submission victory there!
