Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Martin Burns!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Daniel Blasius and Paulsen Ambrosius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Igor clinches.
I was talking to Igor's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Burns tries to pull guard but Igor won't allow it.

Igor breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Burns shoots in for a takedown but Igor shows good takedown defense.

Igor gets a clinch.
Igor stops a takedown attempt from Burns.
Alexander Igor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Martin Burns.
Burns looks winded!
Igor lands with a left to the head.

Burns takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Igor throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Burns pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Burns closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Igor's guard.

Igor wants to stand and escape but Burns is having none of it.

Igor is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Burns is aware though and is defending well.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Burns seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

and Igor counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Burns is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Burns shoots in for a takedown but Igor shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Igor rushes Burns and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Igor breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Igor lets loose with a powerful body kick. Burns will feel that in the morning.
Burns avoids the head kick by Igor.

Burns is still on wobbly legs! Can Igor finish him?
Igor goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Burns fails with the takedown.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Igor forces Burns back against the cage and clinches.

Igor pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Burns seems to have recovered his senses.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

The fight stays on the outside here - Burns looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Igor gets through Burns's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Burns jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Igor walks away with a smile on his face. Burns gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Igor drops Burns with a big knee straight up the middle! Burns is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Igor circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Burns to the canvas! Burns doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Igor keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
