The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tsering has a takedown stuffed.
Tsering blocks a head kick by Thomas.
Tsering wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Thomas shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Tsering napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Tsering sneaks out the side door and pushes Thomas away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Thomas has managed to clinch.

Tsering pulls guard effortlessly.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Thomas content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Tsering has locked up a guillotine! Tsering's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Thomas is holding on here and Tsering must be using up a lot of energy. Thomas has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Tsering gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
