The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Do Souza closes the distance but West moves to the side
and West counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Do Souza doesn't succeed with the takedown
and West counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Do Souza takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Do Souza throws a lazy head kick

and West counters with a crisp right hand that drops Do Souza! West lets Do Souza back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

It looks like Anderson Do Souza has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
West is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Do Souza flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Do Souza is out cold! West holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
