Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Richie Alaska (ranked 1405 p4p, 1809 weight class) and Steel Adams (ranked 157 p4p, 192 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Alaska might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to A Long December - Counting Crows. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 12 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Richie Alaska! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steel Adams! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Josh West and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alaska misses with a body shot
and Alaska takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Adams closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Alaska stalling in the clinch but Adams improves position. A right hook to the body lands for Adams.
Alaska is trying to maintain a safe position but Adams gets an underhook and turns Alaska into the cage. Alaska jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Adams walks away with a smile on his face. Alaska gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Adams takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Alaska swings for the body but Adams moves out of range.
Alaska drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Adams takes a shot right to the bread basket. Adams slips under a jab. A swing and a miss from Adams. Adams on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Alaska misses the shot to the body. Adams doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Alaska stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Adams throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Adams tries to clinch up but Alaska circles away and keeps his distance. It looked like Alaska wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Adams throws a series of punches but Alaska moves out of range. Adams displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Adams instigates a clinch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Alaska jumps guard but Adams stands there with Alaska around his waist. Alaska gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Alaska lands a nice hook to Adams's body. Adams takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Adams connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Alaska is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Despite the aggression on Adams's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Adams scores with a jab. Alaska acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Good shot there by Adams.
Alaska is rocked! Adams waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Alaska. Alaska was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Oh Alaska is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! No joy there for Adams, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Alaska is looking to counter punch. Alaska seems to have got his legs back now. Adams slips under a jab. Alaska scores with a hook. Alaska throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
As Alaska backs off Adams throws a huge counter combo but Alaska manages to avoid it all. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Adams closes the distance and lands a one-two. Alaska connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Alaska avoids the body shot from Adams.
Alaska scores with a jab. Adams acknowledges it with a nod of the head. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Steel Adams dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Nice jab there from Adams. Adams has Alaska up against the cage in a clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. A bit of stalling here from Adams.

The referee is keeping an eye on Adams - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
That's one minute gone in the round. Adams's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Alaska throws a body shot but no joy. Alaska misses with a wild body shot. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Adams! But no joy. Adams lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Adams. Adams has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Alaska lands with a straight right. Adams didn't see that one coming. Alaska gets tackled into the cage by Adams. Adams maintains the clinch. Adams lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Alaska backwards. Alaska fails to pull guard.
Adams is struggling to control the position. Adams will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Alaska up against the cage. A short left from Adams. Come on Adams - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Steel Adams showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards. Alaska takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Adams throws a right and a left that both miss. Steel Adams seems to be getting the better of the standup. Adams uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Alaska.

Alaska displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Adams throws out the jab. Adams lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Alaska misses the jab. Nice combo by Adams! Oh, that's hurt him - Alaska falls to the canvas and Adams follows him into side control. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Alaska tries to buck Adams off but Adams is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alaska is trying to control Adams's posture but Adams avoids it. Adams working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Adams wants to stand but Alaska has his arm trapped. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Alaska sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Alaska is refusing to be controlled, as Adams sits in half guard. Alaska is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Adams pulls his head out easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Alaska is looking for a sweep. Adams is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Alaska is pressing down on Adams's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Alaska keeping moving, preventing Adams from controlling successfully. Adams lands a couple of decent looking shots. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Alaska looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Alaska wants to sweep here but Adams controlling him for the moment. Alaska wants to control the position but Adams says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Alaska tries to get to full guard but Adams has control of the leg.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Adams is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Alaska tries to roll over but Adams keeps him under control. Adams wants to get back to his feet.

Steel Adams is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Alaska moves into full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Adams wants to control from the top but Alaska keeps moving. Adams got a little sloppy there for a moment and Alaska has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Adams has managed to get both his arms back between Alaska's legs - danger averted. Adams is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Alaska has his foot on Adams's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Adams works his way back into a safe position though. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Adams is looking to stand up but Alaska won't let him. Alaska is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Adams defends well. Richie Alaska has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Alaska throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
And that's the end of the fight! Steel Adams comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Adams has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
