Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alejandro Cabrera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keven Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alejandro Cabrera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Keven Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Sanchez gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Cabrera digs a right hand underneath Sanchez's ribcage. Sanchez let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Nice body punch from Cabrera - that landed with a thud.
Cabrera trying to control the position but instead, Sanchez has worked for underhooks and has pushed Cabrera into the ropes.

Sanchez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cabrera is defended easily by Sanchez.
Sanchez swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sanchez wants to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sanchez throws a left that rocks Cabrera and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Sanchez dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Cabrera regain composure!


Cabrera is rocked!


It looks like Alejandro Cabrera has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sanchez tries to stand but Cabrera is controlling his head.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Sanchez decides to stand back up. Sanchez steps back and let's Cabrera get back to his feet.

Sanchez shoots in and bounces Cabrera off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
Cabrera might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Cabrera is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Sanchez wants to get up but he can't break Cabrera's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Cabrera is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Cabrera has his foot on Sanchez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sanchez works his way back into a safe position though.

Cabrera has a closed guard, preventing Sanchez from standing up.
Cabrera is trying to keep Sanchez in close.
Sanchez prevents Cabrera from getting back to his feet.
Cabrera looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sanchez is one step ahead there.
Sanchez working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Cabrera striking off his back but it's not causing Sanchez any problems.
Sanchez would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Sanchez tries a head kick but it misses.
Cabrera throws a lazy head kick
and Sanchez counters with a three punch combo that has Cabrera backing up. Cabrera nods at Sanchez to acknowledge the strikes.
Cabrera is breathing heavily.
Sanchez misses with a wild combination.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
No joy there for Cabrera, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sanchez keeps the fight on the outside.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Keven Sanchez dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Alejandro Cabrera's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.


Sanchez walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Cabrera closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sanchez did well to prevent Cabrera getting side control.

Sanchez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cabrera. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Sanchez is trying to stand back up but Cabrera is controlling him

Sanchez kicks off Cabrera and gets to his feet.
Cabrera lands a nice looking body shot.
A jab from Sanchez does it's job there.
Cabrera looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Sanchez falls off balance throwing a combination

and Cabrera counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Cabrera.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cabrera wants to control from the top but Sanchez keeps moving.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Cabrera wants to stand and escape but instead Sanchez has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Sanchez wants to stand but Cabrera has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Sanchez has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Cabrera to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Sanchez is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Cabrera pulls down on the head and he's put Sanchez to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:04 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Alejandro Cabrera!
