Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Heung Min Choi (ranked 557 p4p, 1067 weight class) and Arturo Ellacuria (ranked 45 p4p, 87 weight class). Choi comes to the cage accompanied by Black Eyed Bruiser. The crowd seem to be enjoying Ellacuria's choice of entrance music: The Boss- James Brown. Arturo Ellacuria struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 136.3lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Heung Min Choi could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Arturo Ellacuria's chin.

With a record of 20 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Arturo Ellacuria!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Jeff Smith and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Choi defending well as Ellacuria loads up on a big left hand.
Ellacuria has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Ellacuria cracks Choi with an open hand slap.
Choi keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ellacuria.
Choi moves out of range as Ellacuria strikes.
Choi avoids the head kick by Ellacuria.

Choi swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

It looked like Choi was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Ellacuria.

Choi throws a quick counter kick to the body but Ellacuria avoids it.

Choi is looking to wear down Ellacuria with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Choi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ellacuria was well out of range. Poor timing from Choi.

Ellacuria pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Choi throws an off balance right hand
and Choi takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Choi misses the shot to the body.
Despite the aggression on Ellacuria's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

and Choi counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Ellacuria is still on wobbly legs! Can Choi finish him?
Ellacuria pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ellacuria throws a one two combo.
Ellacuria is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Choi walks into a left hand.

Choi looks to score with a jab to the body but Ellacuria is just out of range.
Ellacuria seems to have recovered his senses.
Ellacuria swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Choi counters with a nice uppercut.
Ellacuria throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Choi is looking to counter with a body kick.
Choi slips a straight right by Ellacuria.
It looked like Choi wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Ellacuria swings widly with a right hand
and Choi counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Choi misses with a body kick.
Choi ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Arturo Ellacuria seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Choi avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
And Choi counters with a quick kick to the body but Ellacuria blocks it.
Choi takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Ellacuria misses with a hook.
Ellacuria tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Choi is able to avoid easily.

and Choi counters with a crisp right hand that drops Ellacuria! Choi lets Ellacuria back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

and Choi counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Ellacuria glances at the clock... BAM! Choi nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Ellacuria crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Ellacuria is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
