Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oscar Vogels!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gregor Frieberg!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Reed Andrews and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vogels digs a good hook to Frieberg's body.
Frieberg doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Vogels counters with a good low kick that Frieberg was not able to check.
Frieberg fails to land the takedown.
A little feinted left hand from Vogels on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Frieberg closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Sloppy strikes there by Frieberg.
Vogels is looking to reverse the position.
Frieberg goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Vogels rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Frieberg's guard! Nice work there by Vogels!
Frieberg looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Vogels will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Frieberg wants to sweep but no luck.
Vogels trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Frieberg throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Frieberg escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Vogels gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Frieberg working for a triangle but Vogels defends it easily.
Vogels wants to pass the guard but Frieberg is keeping the position.
Our spies down at at MMA Training and Sparring Buddies inform us that Frieberg has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Vogels tries to advance to mount but Frieberg denies him.

Frieberg is looking to regain half guard here but Vogels keeps moving and retains side control.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Vogels wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Frieberg, who protects the arm well.
Vogels slips into full mount, dodging the strikes by Frieberg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Frieberg is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Frieberg swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Frieberg is trying to escape the mount but Vogels keeps good control and instead manages to take Frieberg's back.
Frieberg trying to control the hands but Vogels breaks the grip.
Vogels is working for a rear naked choke. Frieberg is not defending it well and Vogels has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Frieberg refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Frieberg's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Oscar Vogels!
