Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Gord Downey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Freaky Trevor!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Michael Johnstone and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trevor tries to close the distance and clinch but Downey swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Downey seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Downey is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Trevor.

Trevor looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Trevor fails in his attempt to clinch.

Downey has Trevor pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Trevor manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Trevor is pressed up against the cage. Downey has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Trevor down to the mat. Trevor avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
