Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hector Stockton (ranked 2024 p4p, 2481 weight class) and Jimar Kinkead (ranked 248 p4p, 295 weight class). Kinkead is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: No Sunshine. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stockton throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Stockton cracks Kinkead with a right hand to the side of the head.

Kinkead fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Stockton to the ground. Kinkead is now in Stockton's guard.
Kinkead controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

We've been hearing good reports from Stockton's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kinkead takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Stockton darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Kinkead misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Kinkead throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stockton's waist but Stockton gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kinkead off to one side.
Stockton was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

Kinkead is looking for a kimura but Stockton is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kinkead to get the leverage.

Kinkead is taking a breather. Stockton says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
