Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tug Violet!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ronnie Benson!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Daniel Franklin and Dirk Anderson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benson throws a big shot that misses.
Benson's coach down at Cozad The Island was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Benson's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Benson lands a nice hook to Violet's body. Violet takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Benson moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

It looks like Ronnie Benson has been cut.
Benson moves out of range as Violet strikes.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Benson! But no joy.
A slow jab from Benson misses its intended target.
Violet misses with a lunging right hand
and Benson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Benson thows a left - swing and a miss!
Benson throws a hook but Violet blocks it.
Benson takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Some wild striking there from Violet.
Violet doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Benson lands a nice shot to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Violet throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Benson counters with a stiff right hand.
Benson throws a shot from downtown. Violet moves away and avoids it.
Violet throws a nice outside leg kick.
Benson throws a right and a left that Violet avoids nicely.
Benson moves in looking to clinch but Violet pushes him off.
Benson clobbers Violet with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Violet misses with a head kick.
Violet looks to land a right hand but Benson moved out of range.
Violet definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Violet misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Benson.
Benson moves into range and connects with a jab.
Violet misses with a shot to the body
and Benson counters with a three punch combo that has Violet backing up. Violet nods at Benson to acknowledge the strikes.
Benson moves out of range as Violet strikes.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Violet, as that shot connected.
Violet slips under a jab.
Benson moves out of range of the leg kick from Violet.
A telegraphed right hand from Benson misses the target.
Violet throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Violet swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Violet gets cracked there but stands up to it.
A looping hook to the body misses from Violet. Benson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Violet throws a body shot but no joy.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Violet tries to land a leg kick but Benson saw it coming and moves away.
Decent striking displayed by Benson there.

Violet lands a big head kick that sends Benson tumbling to the mat! Violet takes a step backwards and waves Benson back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Benson slips under a jab from Violet.
Violet tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Benson is able to avoid easily.
Benson looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Benson avoids a kick to the body.
Violet misses the jab.
Benson walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Benson is rocked!
Benson gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Violet gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
