Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ola Badmus (ranked 1752 p4p, 1800 weight class) and Tian Long (ranked 232 p4p, 238 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ola Badmus! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tian Long! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Richard Clark and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Badmus lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Long backs up against the cage.
Long cracks Badmus with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Badmus tries to clinch there but Long circles away.
Long just misses with a punch to the body.
Badmus takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Long misses with a lunging right hand
and Badmus counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Badmus lands a lovely overhand right. Badmus ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Tian Long seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Long keeps the fight on the outside. Long throws a big shot that misses. Long misses with a shot to the body and Badmus connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Long circles away from the clinch attempt.
Badmus darts in and clinches Long up against the cage. A bit of stalling here from Badmus.
Badmus manages to pull guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Long wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Badmus's closed guard. He's half up but Badmus has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Badmus pivots and extends the arm, Long falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Badmus! Well done that man!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ola Badmus! Ola Badmus decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
