Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kael Gardener (ranked 2063 p4p, 2666 weight class) and John Saunders (ranked 262 p4p, 313 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kael Gardener!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John Saunders!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Winston Alpacca and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gardener throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Saunders tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gardener manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Danga de danga de dang - Saunders scores with a four punch combination!
Saunders throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Saunders looks to score with a jab to the body but Gardener is just out of range.
It looked like Gardener wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Gardener swats away the attempt to clinch by Saunders.
Saunders defending well as Gardener loads up on a big left hand.
Saunders loads up on a big right hand but Gardener slips the punch.
Saunders wants to clinch but Gardener slips to the side
and Saunders takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gardener digs a good body shot into Saunders's ribs.
Gardener fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Saunders manages to avoid it.
Saunders tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gardener paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Gardener takes one to the side of the head.
Saunders avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Saunders throws out a powerful jab.
Saunders takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Gardener avoids the body shot from Saunders.
Gardener keeps the fight on the outside.
Gardener jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Saunders ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gardener moves away.
Saunders misses the shot to the body.
It looked like Gardener wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Gardener definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Saunders takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Saunders misses with a hook. Gardener ducked under it nicely.
Saunders tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gardener was well out of range. Poor timing from Saunders.
Saunders throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gardener sees it coming and avoids it easily.
John Saunders seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Saunders avoids the body shot from Gardener.
Gardener takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Gardener lands a big right hand that sends Saunders crashing to the mat! Gardener stays standing though and waves Saunders back to his feet!
Saunders is rocked!
It looks like John Saunders has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gardener avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Gardener looks to score with a jab to the body but Saunders is just out of range.
Saunders tries to clinch but Gardener is having none of it.
Gardener is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Saunders.
Gardener lands a nice looking body shot.

Gardener lands a big right hand that sends Saunders crashing to the mat! Gardener stays standing though and waves Saunders back to his feet!
Saunders is still on wobbly legs! Can Gardener finish him?
Gardener connects with a body shot that sends Saunders's belly button to the back.
Saunders looks winded!
Saunders leaves his chin hanging out and Gardener seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Saunders crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
