Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lou Parisini (ranked 1503 p4p, 1575 weight class) and Jesse Kidd (ranked 192 p4p, 201 weight class). The key to victory for Lou Parisini has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Lou Parisini!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jesse Kidd!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Parisini enables Kidd to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Parisini manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Parisini not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Kidd has gone for a leg lock! Parisini slips out almost immediately though and dives into Kidd's guard.

Parisini trying to control the position from guard on top but Kidd is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Kidd has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Parisini can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Kidd looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Parisini has picked Kidd up and slammed him! Kidd can't keep hold of the triangle and Parisini manages to pass to side control!
Parisini looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Kidd bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

That was a close round but I would say that Lou Parisini will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Kidd takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Parisini feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Kidd sprawling to the canvas! Kidd rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Parisini finish him?!

It looks like Jesse Kidd has been cut.

Kidd fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Parisini sprawls well initially but Kidd persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Parisini is concentrating on defense, preventing Kidd from advancing position.

Parisini is controlling Kidd's position as best he can from this difficult position.
