Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aron Patterson (ranked 1731 p4p, 2153 weight class) and Eli Vaughn (ranked 222 p4p, 276 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Eli Vaughn!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Santiago Holmes and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patterson looks to land a left hand but Vaughn moved out of range nicely.
Vaughn drops his hands momentarily and Patterson takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Patterson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Patterson misses with a takedown attempt - Vaughn sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Patterson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Patterson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Vaughn misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Patterson.
Vaughn gets a takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Patterson is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Vaughn jumps into side control!
Patterson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Patterson tries to get out of the position.
Vaughn cracks Patterson with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Vaughn is putting a hurting on Patterson here, landing some big shots from side control.
