Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sherpov Gelovkin (ranked 2627 p4p, 2809 weight class) and Diego Carpio (ranked 285 p4p, 299 weight class). Diego Carpio will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sherpov Gelovkin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Diego Carpio! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Santiago Holmes and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carpio lands with a kick to the temple. Gelovkin shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Sherpov Gelovkin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Carpio closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Carpio tries to land a knee to the head but Gelovkin blocks with his arms.
Gelovkin lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Gelovkin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Carpio is just riding it out for now. Gelovkin eventually gives up the hold.
