Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gers lands with a thumping leg kick.
Gers fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Landor checks it well.
Landor walks forward, straight into a front kick from Gers.

Gers looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Gers lands a couple of digs.
Gers pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Landor is keeping the position for now.
Gers prevents Landor from getting back to his feet.
Gers distracts Landor with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Gers working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Landor's head.
Gers wants to pass the guard but Landor is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gers slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Gers has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Gers has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
