PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Un Kha (ranked 5384 p4p, 3759 weight class) and Dylan Toal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kha comes to the cage accompanied by Eye of the tiger. Un Kha has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 43 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Un Kha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dylan Toal!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Toal throws a nice looking combination but Kha bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kha is defended easily by Toal.
Toal tries a head kick but it misses.
Kha shoots in but no luck this time.
Toal tried to score with a low kick but Kha checks it.
Kha changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Toal tries to avoid it but Kha manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Toal to the ground. Toal escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Toal lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Un Kha. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Toal throws a head kick that misses
and Kha counters with a three punch combo that has Toal backing up. Toal nods at Kha to acknowledge the strikes.
Toal throws a series of punches but Kha avoids them all with ease.
Kha appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Toal should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Kha avoids the head kick by Toal.
Toal walks into a straight right hand from Kha.
Kha shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Toal but Toal pushes him off and we're back to square one.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kha.
Kha attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Toal lands a nice shot to the body.
The fighters circle momentarily. Toal darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kha.
Toal misses with a two punch combination.
Dylan Toal is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Kha fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Toal to the ground. Kha is now in Toal's guard.
Toal is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Toal has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Kha has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Kha escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Toal fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Toal misses with the combination.
Dylan Toal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kha looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kha is breathing heavily.

Kha tries for a takedown but Toal sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Kha shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Toal napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Toal throws Kha to one side and escapes!
Toal keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
A chopping leg kick lands by Toal.
Toal ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Toal dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Toal changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Toal's corner calls for a 1-2. Toal obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Toal ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Toal throws a series of punches but Kha moves out of range.
Kha is looking to counter the offense by Toal and move into the clinch.
Kha avoids a punch combination nicely.
Toal throws a right hand that Kha ducks under and follows up with a left that Kha also avoids with ease.
Toal waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Kha.

Kha shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Toal's guard.
Kha won't allow Toal to get back to his feet.
Kha wants to control from the top but Toal keeps moving.

Toal is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kha is controlling him.
Kha controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Toal wants to get back to his feet but Kha is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Kha drops back looking for a leg! Toal is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Toal manages to kick Kha off! Kha jumps back into Toal's guard.
Toal is looking to stand up but Kha isn't so interested in that idea.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Some wild striking there from Toal.

Kha feints and as Toal raises his hands in defense, Kha changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Toal pushes Kha off and gets back to his feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Kha shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kha was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Kha will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Toal is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kha is trying to get an arm triangle but Toal is defending well.
Toal is trying to buck Kha off.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Toal is not content to let Kha control the position.

Kha wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Toal, who protects the arm well.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kha shoots in looking for a takedown. Toal tries to sprawl out of it but Kha keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Toal manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Despite the aggression on Toal's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Toal will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Toal throws a right hand that Kha ducks under and follows up with a left that Kha also avoids with ease.

Un Kha is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A head kick from Kha lands but Toal takes it in his stride.
Kha shoots for a double leg takedown but Toal sprawls well. He's pushed Kha's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

A quick step to the side and Kha tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Toal throws a series of strikes that have Kha backpedaling.

Toal throws a sloppy head kick and Kha moves out of range easily.

Dylan Toal showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Un Kha has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Dylan Toal is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Toal is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Well Toal has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
