And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dag Yilmaz!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yilmaz throws a nice looking combination but Ortega bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Ortega uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Yilmaz has time to react.

Oooooh!!! Yilmaz has knocked Ortega down with a huge combo! Yilmaz steps away and waves a wobbly Ortega back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Juan Ortega has been cut.
Ortega could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Yilmaz is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ortega sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Ortega ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Yilmaz moves away.
Yilmaz drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Ortega defends it well.
No joy there for Ortega, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Yilmaz connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Ortega is rocked!
Yilmaz rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ortega moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Oh Ortega is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ortega slips a jab and a cross from Yilmaz.
Ortega appears to be looking for a big counter.
Yilmaz's coach down at MMA Training and Sparring Buddies was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Yilmaz's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Ortega tries to bum rush Yilmaz with a series of wild strikes but Yilmaz uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ortega seems to have got his legs back now.

Ortega fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Yilmaz, pushing him back against the cage.

Ortega's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Yilmaz is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Ortega like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Ortega from another fist facial!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dag Yilmaz!
In his post fight interview, Dag Yilmaz started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
