Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Daniel Franklin and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body kick there by Halowel.
Halowel clinches up with Lister Jr and pushes him back against the cage.
Halowel goes for a takedown attempt but Lister Jr pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Lister Jr swings widly with a right hand
and Halowel counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Halowel steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Lister Jr.
Halowel tries to clinch but Lister Jr moves out of range.
A quick step to the side and Lister Jr tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
No luck for Halowel with that takedown attempt.
A counter left hand to the body from Lister Jr misses its target.
Lister Jr takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Halowel's coach down at Cherokees Island Elite Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Halowel's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Lister Jr scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Halowel is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Lister Jr scores with a couple of nice shots.

Lister Jr looking to sit in guard and control but Halowel gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Halowel wants to control from the top but Lister Jr keeps moving.

Lister Jr tries to get to full guard but Halowel has control of the leg.
Lister Jr tries to kick Halowel off in order to stand up. Halowel Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

Halowel thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lister Jr wants to control but Halowel postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lister Jr is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Halowel is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lister Jr is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Lister Jr on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lister Jr tries to get out of the position.
Lister Jr is looking to reverse the position.
Halowel stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Halowel takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Halowel tries to move into range but Lister Jr moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
It looks like Nolan Halowel has been cut.
Lister Jr lands a big shot that drops Halowel! Can he finish him?

Halowel escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lister Jr gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Lister Jr knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Halowel on the ground.
Lister Jr stands up over Halowel, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Halowel keeping moving, preventing Lister Jr from controlling successfully.
Lister Jr keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Halowel's head.
Lister Jr lands a couple of decent looking shots.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
