This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 67 wins and 65 losses; Long Wang! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Steven Brown and James Atkins.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Wang misses with a takedown attempt - Kulik sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Kulik tries to counter with a takedown but Wang is quick to defend against it. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Wang's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Kulik is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Kulik has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Kulik trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Kulik (2) vs (4) Wang Wang stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kulik swivels though and keeps the full guard. Wang engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. More stalling from Wang. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kulik managing to control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Wang wins on points by 4 to 2. A very excited looking Long Wang made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction. |
