This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 66 wins and 45 losses; Vasiliy Kulik! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 9 wins and 8 losses; Jisoo Oh!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Sam Margolis and Donald Grub.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Kulik drives through and clinches with Oh against the cage.
Kulik tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Oh just stands there and leans against the cage.

Oh ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Oh no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Oh is controlling Kulik's posture.
Kulik sitting in guard here, content to control.
Kulik has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Oh has his hands on Kulik's head, controlling the position.

Kulik's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Kulik really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Kulik tries to free his leg and advance position but Oh is retaining full guard.
Oh keeping moving, preventing Kulik from controlling successfully.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Oh is trying to control the position but Kulik postures up.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Oh has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kulik is working away from the top position though.

Oh stops Kulik from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
