This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 94 wins and 60 losses; Bogdan Kersikov! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 16 wins and 28 losses; Stoned Nelson! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, William Gold and James Atkins.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Nelson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Kersikov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Nelson. Nelson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kersikov avoids it really well and circles away. Bogdan Kersikov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stoned Nelson. Nelson looking to score a takedown here. Kersikov is defending well but Nelson drives through and ends up in Kersikov's guard. Kersikov swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kersikov is keeping the position for now. Nelson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kersikov dives on top into guard. Kersikov has picked Nelson up and slammed him! Nelson can't keep hold of the triangle and Kersikov manages to pass to side control! Good work. Kersikov sitting and controlling from the half guard. We've been hearing good reports from Kersikov's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Kersikov looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Kersikov wants to take a breather but Nelson is having none of it. Nelson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kersikov is working away from the top position though.
