This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 2 losses; Kazuma Kiryu! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 7 wins and 10 losses; Holden Gracie! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Gracie wants to clinch. The fight stays on the outside here - Gracie looks like he's thinking about clinching though. As Gracie tries to get set, Kiryu tries to push him back and clinch up but Gracie manages to avoid the attempt. Gracie tries to clinch but Kiryu is having none of it. Gracie tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kiryu swats him away and circles back towards the center. Kiryu is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Gracie. Gracie fails in his attempt to clinch. Kiryu avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Gracie instigates a clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kiryu is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Gracie is defending well. Gracie successfully pulls guard.
Kiryu tries to free his leg and advance position but Gracie is retaining full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kiryu is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Kiryu preventing the sweep. Gracie keeping full guard, as Kiryu tries to pass. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie is trying to control the position but Kiryu postures up. Kiryu is stalling in the full guard. Kiryu won't allow Gracie to sweep him here. Kiryu sitting in guard here, content to control.

Still in half guard, Kiryu seems content to control. Gracie is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Gracie wants to control but Kiryu is keeping busy.

That's eight minutes gone in the round. Good control from Kiryu. Kiryu continues to stall. Gracie looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Kiryu just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Gracie is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Kiryu off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
That's ten minutes gone in the round. Kiryu is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

That's eleven minutes gone in the round. Gracie is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Kiryu has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. More hug and hope from Kiryu. Gracie trying to control the hands but Kiryu breaks the grip.
That's twelve minutes gone in the round. Gracie can't escape the position.
Kiryu trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Gracie doesn't escape. This is a sustained period of stalling by Kiryu.
That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. Kiryu gets his hands free as Gracie looks to control. Gracie is in bad spot here.
I would not like to be Gracie right now.
You can see the frustration on Gracie's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. Gracie keeps trying to improve his position. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Gracie rolls, trying to escape but Kiryu keeps control of the position.
Gracie trying to control the position but Kiryu manages to sink in the hooks. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
