The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Ngannou closes the distance and clinches. Ngannou tightens his grip and picks Guilliman up, before dumping him to the ground. Guilliman manages to land in guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Guilliman (0) vs (2) Ngannou Ngannou wants to stand but Guilliman has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Guilliman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ngannou on the ground. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ngannou is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
That's one minute gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Guilliman is looking for a triangle here but Ngannou uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Guilliman has his hands clasped together but Ngannou breaks the hold and Guilliman is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Ngannou!
