Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Knock Out (ranked 25127 p4p, 3296 weight class) and Sean Lowly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Knock Out has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Knock Out!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sean Lowly!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Michael Johnstone and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lowly clinches.
Lowly keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Out's efforts to push away.
Lowly wants to take the fight to the mat but Out manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Lowly looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Out looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Out breaks from the clinch.

Lowly instigates a clinch.

Lowly manages to break the clinch.
Out tries a head kick but it misses.
Out lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lowly circles away quickly and effectively.
Lowly steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Out misses with a few strikes there.
Out misses with a kick to the body.
Out avoids the head kick by Lowly.
A quick step to the side and Out tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Out gets caught napping as Lowly dives in and scores a takedown. Out manages to retain guard.
Lowly stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Out swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Lowly is stalling in the full guard.
Lowly working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Lowly pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Out is keeping the position for now.
Lowly controls from within his opponent's guard.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Lowly throws a head kick but Out moves out of range.
That kick from Out tenderised Lowly's leg. Lowly is trying to keep his angry face on.
Out blocks a head kick by Lowly.
Lowly misses with a takedown

and Out counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Out missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Out throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lowly works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Lowly wants to get back to his feet but Out is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Lowly has Out pulled in close to control his posture.
Out has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Lowly bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Out's guard.

Lowly postures up.
Lowly postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Lowly is in close to Out's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Lowly sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Out's guard.
Lowly seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Lowly is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Lowly performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Lowly tries to clinch there but Out circles away.
Lowly shoots for a takedown but Out saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Out forces Lowly back against the cage and clinches.
Out tries for a takedown but Lowly manages to get underhooks.
Out stops a takedown attempt from Lowly.
Out is trying to force a seperation but Lowly has the dominant position.
Out drops down looking for an ankle pick but Lowly pulls his leg out and moves away.
Lowly tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lowly closes the distance and pushes Out back into the cage.

Lowly pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Out jabs Lowly to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Sean Lowly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Out leaves Lowly with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Knock Out has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sean Lowly.
Lowly pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lowly misses with a leg kick.
Out shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Lowly eats them both and turns towards Out to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Lowly moves into the clinch.

Out thuds a left hand into Lowly's body.
Lowly throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Out counters with a straight right hand.
A looping hook to the body misses from Out. Lowly does a little dance to reset his feet.

Out moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Out defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lowly.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lowly has his takedown stuffed
and Out connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Lowly is breathing heavily.
Nice defenses there by Lowly.
A nice side step and Lowly releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Lowly misses with a straight right.

Lowly tries for a takedown but Out circles away easily
letting Out counter with a right hand.
Lowly gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Out counters with a straight right hand.

A solid leg kick lands there for Out.
Lowly takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
A head kick misses from Out.

Lowly gets a clinch.
Out misses with a punch to the body.
Lowly goes for a takedown attempt but Out pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Out stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Out wants it to stay on the feet.
Lowly keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Lowly dives in for a single leg takedown but Out sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Out fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Out looking to score a takedown here. Lowly is defending well but Out drives through and ends up in Lowly's guard.
Sean Lowly has got the better of the ground game so far.
Lowly looking for a sweep. Not yet Lowly, not yet.

Out might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Lowly is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Out defends well.

Out wants to stand but Lowly is controlling his posture from full guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Lowly misses with an uppercut. Out saw that one coming.

Lowly shapes to counter with a head kick.
Out misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Lowly.
Out thows a leg kick but Lowly checks it

and Lowly counters with a shoot takedown. Out fights it but they end up in guard.
Lowly trying to stand up but can't free himself from Out's guard.
Lowly slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Out keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Out avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Lowly.
Lowly is pressing down on Out's thigh, looking to free his foot. Out is holding on for now.
Out is trying to get back to full guard.
Lowly throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Lowly trying to control the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Lowly tries for a takedown but Out sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Lowly misses with a takedown attempt
and Out counters with a stiff right hand.
Lowly takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Lowly shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Out pinned against the cage. Out gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Knock Out has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sean Lowly.

Lowly shoots for a double leg takedown but Out sprawls well. He's pushed Lowly's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Out misses with a straight right.
Lowly waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Out.
Out throws a sloppy head kick and Lowly moves out of range easily.
Decent striking displayed by Out there.
Out tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Lowly feints the counter takedown.
Lowly throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Out.
A quick step to the side and Out tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lowly misses with a jab, cross combination.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Out lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Lowly clinches up against the cage.
Out taking a breather.

Out jumps guard.
Lowly controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Out is on top in guard.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Out wants to control from the top but Lowly keeps moving.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Sean Lowly.
I think Lowly has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
