Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Riel Proh (ranked 1532 p4p, 2439 weight class) and Jerome Greene (ranked 207 p4p, 286 weight class). Riel Proh has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Riel Proh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Jerome Greene! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Proh has his takedown stuffed and Greene counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Proh shoots in for a takedown but Greene shows good takedown defense. Proh closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Greene's guard. Proh loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Proh working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Greene has his hands on Proh's head, controlling the position. Greene being controlled here, momentarily. Proh prevents Greene from getting back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Greene preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Proh scoring with punches to the head and body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Proh lands a couple of elbows. Proh content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Proh accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Proh distracts Greene with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Proh stands up over Greene, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Proh wants to control from the top but Greene keeps moving. We've been hearing that Proh has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Proh is looking to work some ground and pound but Greene has wrist control. Proh throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Greene works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Proh missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Proh makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Proh throwing strikes but missing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Proh pushing down on Greene's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Greene won't allow Proh to pass to mount. Greene is trying to control but can't.

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Proh perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. That's three minutes gone in the round. Proh takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Proh thows a huge punch but Greene dodges it nicely.

Proh has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Proh has control of Greene's left arm, preventing Greene from doing any damage. Greene wanted to stand there but Proh had control of the position. Greene trying to control but Proh is working from the bottom. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Proh manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Greene manages to get himself to full guard.

That will dishearten Proh somewhat. Proh shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Proh missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Greene is looking to control Proh's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Greene avoid being mounted? Proh not landing any meaningful shots this time. Greene trying to control but Proh is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Proh tries to reverse the position but Greene maintains control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Proh is squirming around, avoiding Greene's attempts to control the action. Proh slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Proh gets full guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Proh holds on and takes a little breather. Proh continues to stall. Greene seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Greene stopping the sweep attempt from Proh.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Proh has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round! Proh dives in and grabs Greene's left leg, looking for a takedown. Greene pushes down on Proh's head and hops out. Greene lands a nice hook to Proh's body. Proh takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Proh tries to score a power double leg takedown but Greene sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Proh somewhat. Greene works Proh's body with a nice hook. Proh gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily enabling Greene to counter with a crisp jab. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Riel Proh. That's going to take a lot out of him. Proh on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Proh shoots in for a double leg but Greene sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Greene throws out a counter right but Proh avoids it with no problem. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Proh checks a low kick from Greene. Greene leaves Proh with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Proh fails with the takedown letting Greene counter with a right hand. Greene smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Proh stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Greene swivels though and keeps the full guard. Greene is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Proh showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Greene ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Proh moves away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Proh shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Greene but Greene pushes him off and we're back to square one. Greene defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Proh. Greene swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
And that's the end of the fight! Jerome Greene comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Greene has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
