Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Yusuf Graham!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Gervonta Davis!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Winston Alpacca and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Graham closes the distance and clinches up with Davis, looking for a takedown. Graham pushes Davis against the cage but Davis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Davis is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Graham misses with a takedown attempt
and Davis counters with a two punch combo.
Graham misses with a double jab

and Davis counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends Graham down! Davis is looking to finish but Graham is intelligently defending himself.

Graham is rocked!
Davis would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Graham has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Davis has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Graham prevents Davis from improving his position.
We've been hearing that Graham has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Sloppy strikes from Graham. Those never looked like landing.
Graham darts in looking for a takedown but Davis gets double underhooks and turns Graham into the cage.
Davis lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Davis keeps control of Graham as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Davis has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Graham is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Graham has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Davis uses from the top position.
Graham pulls Davis in close to his closed guard and prevents Davis from doing any damage or advancing position.

Graham has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Davis must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.


Graham shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Graham is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Davis!

Graham's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Yusuf Graham overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Graham seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Davis for as long as he can get away with.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Graham is stinking the place up with his stalling.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
More hug and hope from Graham.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
This is a sustained period of stalling by Graham.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Graham's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Graham duly obliges.
Yusuf Graham seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Graham fails with the takedown.
Graham rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Davis moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Davis lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Graham has his takedown stuffed
and Davis counters with a three punch combo that has Graham backing up. Graham nods at Davis to acknowledge the strikes.

Graham moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Graham fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Davis avoids it really well and circles away.

An intense looking Gervonta Davis took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'Man, Rick Victor that was the easiest fight of my life. Give me more of a challenge next time loser. Light work 🥱🥱🥱 should've just stayed home instead of fighting you'.
