Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Free Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dikkie Dirk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Man tries to close the distance and clinch but Dirk swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Dirk lands with a kick to the ribs.
Dirk takes the fight into the clinch.
Man connects with a nasty looking knee right to Dirk's face.
Dirk gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Man trying to control from the bottom.
Man works his way to full guard. Good work.
Man is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Dirk makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Dirk.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dirk is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Man is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Man postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
A head kick misses from Dirk.

and Dirk counters by moving into the clinch.
Man throws a knee to the head but misses.
Man lands with a light punch inside.

Dirk jumps guard.
Man controls from within his opponent's guard.
Man is breathing heavily.
Man postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Dirk is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Man, into his guard.

Let's hope that Dirk has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Dirk's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Dirk wanted to stand there but Man had control of the position.

Man tries to land knees in the clinch but Dirk avoids the damage to the body.

Man avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Dirk tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Man paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Dirk counters with a takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Man is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Man tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Dirk fails with the takedown.
Free Man has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dikkie Dirk.

Man pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Man thumps Dirk with a low kick.
Dirk closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Dirk is just content to waste time from the top position. Man takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Man looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dirk is one step ahead there.

Man is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Man lands a nice knee to the body.
Dirk is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Dirk changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Man fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Man throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Dirk.
Man misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Man tries to clinch but Dirk moves out of range.
Man closes the distance but Dirk moves to the side
and Dirk counters with a straight right hand.
Dirk changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Man tries to avoid it but Dirk manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Man to the ground. Man escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Free Man will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!

Dirk swats away the attempt to clinch by Man.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dirk jumps guard but Man stands there with Dirk around his waist. Dirk gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Man manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Dirk is trying to control but Man manages to pass to mount!

Dirk is squirming around, avoiding Man's attempts to control the action.
Dirk tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Dirk tries to lock up and control but Man gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Dirk is in all sorts of trouble here.

Man moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Dirk has worked his arm free - good work by Dirk!
A lull in the action here.
Dirk tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
Dirk slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dirk is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Man's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Man's back!
Dirk keeps control of the position as Man tries to break free.
Man avoids the strikes from Dirk.
Man is keeping busy.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Man manages to get to his feet, escaping the difficult position.
And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Dikkie Dirk.
I think Dirk has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
