Linewood comes into the arena with unrequited blaring out of the sound system. Frost has chosen Texas as his entrance music. Alexander Frost has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alexander Frost!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Atkins and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Linewood looks to clinch

and Frost counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Linewood!
Frost is putting a hurting on Linewood here, landing some big shots from side control.
Linewood is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Frost is controlling him well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Linewood seems a little lost for a moment, as Frost dominates the positioning.
Linewood is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Frost's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Frost lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Linewood is trying to maintain the position but Frost is very close to passing his half guard.

Linewood has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Frost blocks the strikes from Linewood.
Frost is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Linewood throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Frost is thwarting Linewood's attempts to control the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Linewood is looking to clinch.

and Frost counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Linewood keeping full guard, as Frost tries to pass.
Linewood has momentary wrist control but Frost slips an elbow through the middle.
Frost wants to pass the guard but Linewood is keeping the position.
Frost lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Linewood looking to hit a scissor sweep but Frost is one step ahead there.
Frost has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Linewood is proving hard to escape from.
Linewood trying to keep a closed guard but Frost is proving a slippery customer.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Frost sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Linewood doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Frost paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Linewood - great work!

During a confident post fight interview, Shock Linewood thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
