Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Juan Da Silva (ranked 4282 p4p, 4164 weight class) and Korbin Cobb (ranked 247 p4p, 394 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Juan Da Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Korbin Cobb! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Sergei Dronov and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Da Silva shoots in looking for a takedown. Cobb tries to sprawl out of it but Da Silva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cobb manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. No luck for Da Silva with that takedown attempt. Cobb throws a counter combo. Cobb tries to score a power double leg takedown but Da Silva sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cobb somewhat. Cobb dives in for a single leg takedown but Da Silva sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Da Silva fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Juan Da Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Da Silva looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Da Silva clinches up with Cobb and pushes him back against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cobb is looking to take this one to the mat. Cobb decides to pull guard. Cobb keeping moving, preventing Da Silva from controlling successfully. Da Silva trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Da Silva preventing the sweep. Cobb wants to improve his position but instead Da Silva has moved into half guard.
Da Silva seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cobb does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Cobb is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Da Silva pulls his head out easily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Da Silva perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cobb is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Cobb is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Da Silva pulls his head out easily. Da Silva looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Da Silva is working for a submission of some sort.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cobb slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Cobb working a defensive guard but Da Silva manages to pass into side control anyway.
Cobb is looking to regain half guard here but Da Silva keeps moving and retains side control. Da Silva decides to stand back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Cobb shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Da Silva pinned against the cage. Da Silva gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Cobb lands a head kick. Da Silva smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Cobb looks winded! Cobb dives in and grabs Da Silva's left leg, looking for a takedown. Da Silva pushes down on Cobb's head and hops out. Da Silva fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Cobb tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. An attempted straight right counter from Da Silva misses the target. Da Silva closes the distance and clinches. Da Silva prevents a takedown attempt there.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Juan Da Silva will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Da Silva misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Cobb displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Da Silva. Cobb closes the distance and lands a one-two. Da Silva fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Juan Da Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him. No luck with that takedown attempt from Da Silva. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Da Silva throws a head kick that misses. Cobb tries to counter by closing the distance. Da Silva looks for a takedown but Cobb sprawls well. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Da Silva displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Cobb. Cobb scores with a takedown into Da Silva's guard. Cobb looking to pass the guard. Da Silva is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cobb is aware though and is defending well. Da Silva avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Da Silva throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Da Silva avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Da Silva wants to sweep but no luck. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Cobb is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Cobb forces Da Silva back against the cage and clinches. Cobb pulls guard successfully.
Cobb is looking for a triangle but Da Silva pushes his legs off easily.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Da Silva accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Da Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Cobb is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Da Silva engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Da Silva wants to control from the top but Cobb keeps moving. Cobb bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Da Silva's guard. Da Silva is pulling down on Cobb's head. It's preventing any offense from Cobb, at least for the moment. Da Silva's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Cobb trying to control the position from guard on top but Da Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Da Silva working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Cobb. Da Silva keeping moving, preventing Cobb from controlling successfully. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Cobb won't allow Da Silva to sweep him here.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Excellent takedown into side control there by Cobb. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Korbin Cobb showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round! Cobb uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Da Silva. Da Silva misses with the combination.
Da Silva throws a chopping leg kick but Cobb manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Da Silva tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Cobb swivels and escapes. Da Silva misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. A head kick by Da Silva misses and Cobb counters with a nice uppercut. Cobb shoots in but no luck this time. Da Silva is looking for a counter combo. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cobb rushes Da Silva and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Cobb is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Da Silva gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Cobb pulls guard successfully.

That's one minute gone in the round. Cobb wants to get back to his feet but Da Silva is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Da Silva showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Da Silva decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Da Silva takes the fight into the clinch. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Cobb takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Cobb tries for a takedown but Da Silva manages to get underhooks.
Juan Da Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Korbin Cobb. Da Silva has had enough of the clinch but Cobb keeps him there for the moment. Cobb is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Da Silva gets underhooks to prevent Cobb's takedown attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Cobb is pressed up against the cage. Da Silva has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Cobb down to the mat. Cobb avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Some wild striking there from Cobb.
Da Silva quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Da Silva throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Cobb is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Cobb misses with a body shot.
Da Silva clinches up against the cage. Da Silva is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Cobb is defending well for now. Cobb prevents a takedown attempt there.
Da Silva controlling the action here for a moment.
Da Silva jumps guard but Cobb turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cobb's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Da Silva tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Da Silva wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Cobb has him pressed against the cage. Cobb stalling in the clinch but Da Silva improves position. Da Silva gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Cobb.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Cobb keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Da Silva's efforts to push away.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Korbin Cobb. I think Cobb has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
