Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Korbin Cobb (ranked 3955 p4p, 4038 weight class) and Leonel Sherman (ranked 381 p4p, 385 weight class). Korbin Cobb has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Korbin Cobb! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Leonel Sherman! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Illya Tyunina and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sherman scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Cobb takes the fight into the clinch. A frustrated look appears on Sherman's face as he tries to break the clinch. Cobb lands a hook that snaps the head of Sherman backwards. Sherman wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Cobb pulls guard successfully.
Cobb wants to sweep but no luck. Cobb throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Sherman looking to pass the guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sherman working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Cobb's head. Sherman controlling from the top position. Sherman lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sherman looking to pass the guard. Sherman has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Sherman controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Cobb knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sherman on the ground. Sherman working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Sherman engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Sherman trying to control the position from guard on top but Cobb is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sherman slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Cobb is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Sherman wants to pass the guard but Cobb is keeping the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Sherman shoots for a double leg takedown but Cobb sprawls well. He's pushed Sherman's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Sherman closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Cobb quickly recovers to half guard. Sherman seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Cobb looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Sherman pushes past his half guard into mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sherman scoring with strikes but Cobb is staying in there. Sherman controlling the position easily from mount. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Sherman's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Sherman with good strikes from the mount here! Sherman lands a heavy elbow. Sherman looking to control and managing it successfully. Sherman lands a big shot there that rocks Cobb but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Sherman controlling the pace for now. Cobb on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Cobb tries to get out of the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sherman lands a nice shot to the head. Sherman controlling his opponent. Cobb tries to lock up and control but Sherman gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Sherman breaks from Cobb's wrist control and lands an elbow. Sherman with shots to the head and body - Cobb looks very uncomfortable down there. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sherman looking to control and managing it successfully. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Leonel Sherman dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Sherman throws a chopping leg kick but Cobb manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Cobb is looking for a counter combo. Nice sprawl there from Cobb as Sherman shoots in. Cobb avoids a kick to the body.
Cobb tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sherman paws at him with a jab and circles away. Sherman misses with a body shot.

Cobb with the inside leg kick. Sherman shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Cobb manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Cobb wriggles free and stands up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cobb dives in and grabs Sherman's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sherman pushes down on Cobb's head and hops out. Sherman shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Sherman was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Cobb explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! This has been an exciting period of action! Sherman has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Sherman feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sherman lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Cobb being controlled here, momentarily. Sherman is continuing to stall. Cobb trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Cobb keeping moving, preventing Sherman from controlling successfully.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sherman drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sherman tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Sherman working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sherman creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Cobb being controlled for a moment. Sherman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cobb keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Sherman has knee on belly and moves into mount. Sherman looking to control and managing it successfully. Cobb wants to hold on but Sherman pushes him away. Sherman breaks from Cobb's wrist control and lands an elbow. Sherman working Cobb over with strikes here. Sherman tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Leonel Sherman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round! Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Sherman lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Cobb has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Cobb and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Sherman keeps the fight on the outside. Cobb lands a really nice looking cross but Sherman seems unphased.
Cobb shoots in for a double leg but Sherman sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Cobb stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Cobb wants it to stay on the feet. Sherman thows a leg kick but Cobb checks it and Cobb counters by moving into the clinch. Cobb taking a breather. Cobb misses with a hook from the clinch. Cobb jumps into guard, dragging Sherman to the mat.
Sherman is stalling in the full guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cobb has momentary wrist control but Sherman slips an elbow through the middle. Sherman is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cobb keeping moving, preventing Sherman from controlling successfully. Sherman engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Sherman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cobb swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Cobb throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Sherman escapes and throws Cobb's legs to the side, diving into side control! You can see the frustration on Cobb's face as Sherman controls the position. Sherman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cobb keeps working. Sherman in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sherman tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Sherman controls the position. Sherman is chipping away with strikes.
Sherman wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cobb, who protects the arm well. Sherman is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sherman advances to mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sherman is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Cobb is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Cobb flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Sherman anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Cobb and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Sherman slips an arm under Cobb chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Sherman has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Sherman is squeezing on Cobb like an anaconda would it's prey. Cobb fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:25 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Leonel Sherman!
