Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jayson Tatum (ranked 2479 p4p, 2571 weight class) and Dexter Mallin (ranked 291 p4p, 298 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jayson Tatum!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Dexter Mallin!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Dean Styles and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mallin throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Tatum seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Mallin connects with a body shot.
Mallin lands with a thumping leg kick.
Mallin misses with a hook to the body
and Tatum counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Dexter Mallin has been cut.
Mallin throws a sloppy head kick
and Mallin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Mallin throws a lazy body kick
and Tatum counters with a right hand to the body.
Tatum slips a jab from Mallin.
Tatum is looking to counter punch.
Tatum thows a left - swing and a miss!
Dexter Mallin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mallin delivers a nice body kick.
Tatum blocks a head kick by Mallin.
Tatum appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Good exchange - Mallin coming out on top.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mallin uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Tatum.

The fight stays on the outside here - Tatum looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Mallin tries a quick counter leg kick but Tatum is wise to it.

Tatum connects with a nice looking jab.
Crunch! Mallin slams his shin into Tatum's torso.
Tatum blocks a head kick by Mallin.

Mallin plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
It looks like Jayson Tatum has been cut.
Mallin tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Tatum counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Mallin gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Tatum counters with a straight right hand.
Tatum uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mallin.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mallin lands with a slapping head kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mallin swings away with a body shot that misses
and Tatum counters with a huge left! Mallin is in big trouble! He's backing up but Tatum isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Mallin from any more damage. A dominating finish by Tatum!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jayson Tatum!
