And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Xander Philips!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Winston Howard and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Philips slips a jab and a cross from Gatherer.
Gatherer throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Philips counters with a one-two to the body.
Philips throws a good cross that connects.
It looks like Hunter Gatherer has been cut.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Philips.
Gatherer appears to be looking for a big counter.
Philips darts in looking for a takedown but Gatherer gets double underhooks and turns Philips into the cage.
Gatherer swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Gatherer closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gatherer lands in his opponent's guard.
Philips throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Philips keeping moving, preventing Gatherer from controlling successfully.

Gatherer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Philips swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Gatherer stands and throws Philips's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Gatherer is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Philips has escaped the position, nice work there.
Gatherer has an Americana. Philips didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Gatherer is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Gatherer hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Hunter Gatherer!
In defeat, Xander Philips stepped up to the mic, saying 'Listen, listen... I tried my hardest and i was doing amazing. Then suddenly a couple shots and im here. Submission or tko. I keep fighting. I want the rematch asap'.
