Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jorg Wegner (ranked 2682 p4p, 2254 weight class) and Ken Shamrock (ranked 332 p4p, 287 weight class). Shamrock is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Dangerous Entrance Theme. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wegner fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Shamrock manages to avoid it.
Jorg Wegner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wegner fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Shamrock uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Wegner.
Shamrock tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Shamrock shoots for a double leg takedown but Wegner sprawls well. He's pushed Shamrock's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Wegner tries to counter with a takedown but Shamrock is quick to defend against it.
Nice combo by Wegner! Oh, that's hurt him - Shamrock falls to the canvas and Wegner follows him into side control.
Shamrock is rocked!
It looks like Ken Shamrock has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Wegner lands a strong strike to the head of Shamrock. That's dazed him! Wegner looking to finish here. Shamrock is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Wegner lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
