Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rodri Yairguez (ranked 1399 p4p, 2169 weight class) and Jae Woon Ki (ranked 130 p4p, 189 weight class). Yairguez comes into the arena with El Corrido De Chihuahua - Los Rieleros Del Norte blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yairguez scores with a shot to the body.
Yairguez cracks Ki with a good jab.
Yairguez tests Ki's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Rodri Yairguez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Yairguez clinches with his opponent.
Ki tries to pull guard but Yairguez forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Ki.

Yairguez successfully pulls guard.
Yairguez pulls Ki in close to his closed guard and prevents Ki from doing any damage or advancing position.
Ki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Yairguez swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ki is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Ki has his foot on Yairguez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Yairguez works his way back into a safe position though.

Yairguez seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Yairguez is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Ki has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Yairguez is looking to defend but Ki has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Yairguez! Ki pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Yairguez taps out and this one is all over!
