Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alien Invasion (ranked 1184 p4p, 924 weight class) and Pitter Patter (ranked 152 p4p, 114 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patter throws a hook but Invasion blocks it.
Patter lands a lovely overhand right.
Patter throws an overhand right that lands on Invasion's shoulder, as Invasion tries to avoid the shot.

Patter tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Invasion was well out of range. Poor timing from Patter.
Invasion feinted with a counter takedown.

Invasion looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Invasion displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Patter throws out the jab.
Patter swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Invasion throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Patter was covering up waiting for the punch and Invasion finishes the takedown easily into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Invasion keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Patter's head.

Patter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Invasion. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Invasion creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Patter sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Invasion has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Invasion is landing with some decent strikes but Patter is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Patter can do anything to dispel that myth.
