The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Skaar manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Skaar has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sankari is working away from the top position though.
Sankari tries to pass the half guard into mount. Skaar knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Sankari is looking to take a break and control but Skaar is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Skaar wants to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Skaar tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Sankari has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Skaar is looking to improve his position but Sankari isn't that keen on the idea.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Skaar sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Skaar moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Skaar trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Skaar looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sankari is one step ahead there.
Sankari stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Skaar swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that John Skaar will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Skaar not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Sankari looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Skaar has picked Sankari up and slammed him! Sankari can't keep hold of the triangle and Skaar manages to pass to side control!

Skaar lands an elbow.
Sankari takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Skaar wants to control but Sankari is keeping him busy.
John Skaar overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Sankari is looking to reverse the position.
Sankari is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Sankari is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Skaar is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
