The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rowland defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Barjuan.
Rowland was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Rowland pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Barjuan closes the distance and clinches.
Rowland gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Barjuan.

Barjuan gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Rowland regains guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Barjuan working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Barjuan postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Barjuan drops back looking for a leg! Rowland is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rowland manages to kick Barjuan off! Barjuan jumps back into Rowland's guard.
Rowland wants to sweep here but Barjuan controlling him for the moment.

Barjuan is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Barjuan postures up in Rowland's guard and throws a big left but Rowland blocks it.

Barjuan drops back looking for a leg! Rowland is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rowland manages to kick Barjuan off! Barjuan jumps back into Rowland's guard.

Barjuan drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Barjuan seems to have locked his on tight now - Rowland screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Barjuan, as he picks up the win!
