Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joe Patterson (ranked 4178 p4p, 5139 weight class) and Solomon Romero (ranked 0 p4p, 448 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Solomon Romero!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patterson works the jab nicely.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Patterson, as that shot connected.
Patterson throws a hook but Romero avoids it easily.
Romero misses with a series of wild punches.

and Patterson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Solomon Romero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Romero looks to land a right hand but Patterson moved out of range.
Patterson lands a nice shot that snaps Romero's head back.
Romero takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Patterson lunges at Romero with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Romero's hand.
Romero's coach down at Cherokees Island Elite Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Romero's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Romero is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Patterson feints a jab promting Romero to slip. Patterson then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Romero slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Patterson drops Romero with a huge uppercut! Romero drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Patterson is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joe Patterson!
Joe Patterson tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
